On our relaunch event, our audience and panel highlighted a crucial distinction:
Data governance ↔️ AI governance, while intertwined, they are not interchangeable concepts 💡(!)

➡️ Data governance is vital in getting the most out of your AI, covering areas such as risk, compliance, trustworthiness and ethics. However, it focuses primarily on managing the risks associated with data and AI, rather than seizing opportunities.

➡️ Incorporating AI governance into a corporate governance is essential for managing both its innovative, transformative and strategic aspects. This integration ensures that opportunities presented by AI are in line with your business strategy and that their potential transformative impact is not overlooked.

🔄 Karin highlighted the importance of dedicated teams comprising both business and analytics professionals collaborating on AI applications, while Xavier advocated for a centralized approach through an AI office.

🔀Regardless of the organizational model, AI governance should be integrated into corporate governance frameworks to facilitate experimentation and drive strategic transformation.
